We are pleased to announce that Crow Events have taken over full management of The Hoppings at Newcastle Town Moor, an event that owes a great deal of its success to the remarkable job delivered by the Freemen of Newcastle and Newcastle City Council.
The last 12 months has been challenging for the events sector and for wider public health generally, something that is deeply important to us as controllers of such a prestigious event.
In light of the recent government announcement and following a meeting of the event management team, we have decided to postpone the June date for this year only, with the new planned date being a slightly longer period from hopefully the 19th August until 30th August 2021.
This date was selected primarily on the basis of allowing sufficient time for the governments 4-staged plan to be successfully implemented.
As an event that brings joy to thousands every year, we remain optimistic that the government’s plan will be a success however, we will, be monitoring the progress closely.
The new date which takes place during the schools Summer Holidays and provides an extra 3 days of fun, will see some changes to previous years.
We will be launching a brand new interactive website (due the 1st of April) which among other features, will allow customers to pre-book a car park pass. There will be site maps around the event, social media hotspots and additions to the usual line up of attractions which we will be announcing over the coming weeks.
We have some big plans for future years to really evolve the Hoppings into The North East’s Premier Summer Destination.
