The Hoppings Funfair - Health and safety at the event

Covid
Strategy

The pandemic has affected all of us and we at Crow Events are committed to the safety of all concerned. We remain hopeful that the government's 4-stage plan will mean that the event will operate under no restrictions, however, we have contingency plans that will be implemented if necessary, around guidance at the time of the event for the safety of all visitors and staff.

Rides &
Attractions

All rides and attractions are inspected annually under either of the 2 HSE approved schemes. Namely; ADIPS for rides or PIPA for inflatables. This is the equivalent of a car having an MOT.

The rides and attractions must conform to Health & Safety Publication: HSG 175, ADIPS and PIPA are independent bodies and ensure that each and every attraction/fairground ride and amusement park ride or device is certified as safe for use. Each year inspections are carried out by an independent inspector whose capability to perform competent and independent inspection is assessed and monitored on an ongoing basis under the ADIPS scheme.

Ride operators are Members of The Showmen's Guild of Great Britain and as part of the membership must adhere to a strict maintenance schedule that is subject to ongoing checks. The Hoppings management team have our own very experienced safety team that will check each attraction and activity prior to its operation.

Each attraction is given a certificate with a unique reference number that can be checked on the inspection bodies websites. For more info please visit.
