We have ample on-site parking available, which can be accessed via the Grandstand Road entrance, located close to the Blue House Roundabout. For 2026, a number of improvements have been made to help make arriving and leaving the site even smoother, making it easier than ever to enjoy your day at The Hoppings. Once you've parked up, you're just a short walk away from all the rides, attractions, food and family fun waiting for you on Newcastle Town Moor.
For visitors using sat nav, simply enter NE2 3DA or NE2 3NH to be directed to the car park entrance.
Getting to The Hoppings by Metro couldn't be easier using the Tyne and Wear Metro.
The closest Metro Station to The Hoppings is West Jesmond, which is a 5-minute walk from the Great North Road entrance. Alternatively, you can get off at Haymarket or Jesmond; both are within walking distance of the Town Moor.
Did you know kids travel free on the Metro? Up to three kids aged 11 and under can travel for free on the Tyne and Wear Metro every day, as long as they are accompanied by a fare-paying adult

Travelling to The Hoppings by bus is easy, with services from across Newcastle and the wider North East stopping close to Newcastle Town Moor.
If you're travelling from the city centre, some of the most convenient routes are the Stagecoach 30, 31 and 35, which run regularly from Haymarket and stop just a short walk from the fairground. If your local bus is Go North East these are the bus services that run to the Town Moor Q3X, Q3, 354, 355, 356.
Visitors travelling from Northumberland can also make use of a wide range of Arriva services, including the X4, X5, X6, X10, X11, X20 and X21 routes, which connect through Haymarket and provide easy access to The Hoppings.
Once you arrive, it's just a short stroll to all the rides, attractions, food and family fun waiting on the Town Moor. If you're unsure which route is best for you, Haymarket Bus Station is a great hub to travel through, with frequent services running from across the region.
